Similarly to previous years, the membership in the Society includes the yearly membership fee which remains unchanged, i.e., 500 CZK incl. VAT. At the moment, the membership database is under reconstruction so we are currently unable to process any membership payments. Therefore, further payment details will be sent later, as soon as the administration is available again. We kindly ask you to wait with your payments until further notice while already made payments will be processed retrospectively. Thank you for your understanding and we apologize for any potential inconvenience.

Scope and mission of the society

CSBMB, z. s., Czech Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, is a professional voluntary organisation of natural persons with a focus on biochemistry, molecular biology, and related scientific fields. The activities of the society aim on fulfilling several goals:

  • Supports the development of scientific disciplines by encouraging scientific and science popularization activities
  • Transfers new pieces of knowledge into practice
  • Supports enhancing the professional level of its members who begin working in their fields
  • Cooperates with foreign and international institutions of the same or similar specialization
  • Supports improving the quality of education in biochemistry, molecular biology, and related fields
  • Organises scientific conferences, congresses, annual meetings, lectures and various courses
  • Anounces contests and grants awards

The exact focus, organisation, and rights and obligations of CSBMB members are specified in the corresponding company statutes (available only in Czech).

Society membership

Membership in the Society is open to any natural and legal person working or studying in the Czech Republic or with Czech citizenship. Furthermore, the person is expected to have a close professional connection to the field of biochemistry and molecular biology. The individual membership fee for 2024 is 500 CZK incl. VAT. Membership rights and obligations are specified in the corresponding company statutes (available only in Czech).
